Player Bio
Kelly started rugby as a high schooler alongside her sister and best friend in 1981. They were accidentally assumed to be nearby college students and were recruited to the Albany Law School team as a result. Since all rugby teams always need more players, the trio got to stay. Playing for Beantown became her dream after watching Beantown win over & over at the Saranac Lake Can-Am Tournament every year.
Kelly’s dream was delayed a bit due to her time attending MIT, as the institute was one of the very few to field their own team early on in rugby. She happily gained experience playing & refereeing there over the course of her academic career. Dreams do come true, however, and having graduated in 1986, she has been playing for Beantown ever since!
